Make a Difference! Other Ways of Giving Your Support

Gifts of Securities
Giving YFSA stocks or bonds that have appreciated in value, results in a double tax deduction. You can deduct the current fair market value of the securities and you avoid paying tax on the capital gain.

Gifts of Insurance
Making YFSA a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or your IRA can be another way to give a gift and receive tax benefits.

Memorial/Tribute Giving

"Designated Donations" through our Partner, United Way
You can designate YFSA as the recipient of your donations through payroll deductions or other donations to United Way.

Employee Matching Gifts
If your employer matches your charitable contributions, your gift to YFSA will be multiplied. Your gift could be matched dollar for dollar! Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation's value. Check with your company to find out if your company will match your contribution to YFSA. Planned Giving: Bequests (The "I Can Give" Gift)

How it works:

  • You can provide now for a future gift to YFSA by including a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust.
  • Your will or trust directs assets to your heirs.
  • Your will or trust directs a bequest to YFSA for the purpose(s) you specify.

Benefits:

  • Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
  • You can modify your bequest if your circumstances change.
  • You can direct your bequest to a particular purpose.
  • There is no upper limit on the estate tax deductions that can be taken for charitable bequests.
  • You can have the satisfaction now of knowing that your bequest will support YFSA in the way you intended when you are gone.
