Affordable Counseling Services

YFSA provides professional psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families in English and Spanish. Services are available in Woodland, Davis, West Sacramento, Esparto and Knights Landing. Cost for our services is determined on a sliding scale based on income and family size. YFSA also accepts many public and private insurance plans and programs.

Psycho-Educational/Support Groups

Groups are conducted on issue-specific topics and are provided over eight to twelve weeks and led by a licensed or license-eligible clinician.

Kids’ Turn
Kids' Turn is a six week program serving children and parents experiencing divorce or separation. It is a safe place to improve communication skills and to help parents understand and children cope. Children range in age groups 4-14yrs. old. Parents and children meet in separate groups.

This support group meets in a 12-week series. Insurance accepted or $10 per session.

Services for Clients Who Speak Spanish

YFSA offers therapy in Spanish for couples, families, and individuals (adults and children). Our therapists are familiar with cultural differences and several clinicians are bilingual. YFSA also offers groups in Spanish.

Allied Services for Kids (ASK)

ASK is a school-based program for children and teens providing crisis intervention, prevention, and psycho-educational services throughout Yolo County at a number of school locations.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

YFSA offers help for parents (and other adults) who are experiencing difficulties with their children (or the children for whom they care) using PCIT. PCIT is a management program for children ages 2-7. Years of research have shown the great effectiveness of PCIT in helping parents learn new ways to eliminate destructive behaviors in young children such as physical aggression, swearing, defiance, and disrespect to adults.
